Did you know that a majority of philanthropic dollars goes towards supporting national organizations, but little is earmarked for our own backyard—right here in Los Angeles?

As our great city of Los Angeles continues to grow, we see fewer green spaces, shrinking wetlands, reduced or impacted native habitat and we must work even harder to preserve our open spaces and also be mindful of how we can make a difference in our own backyards.

Your support of Los Angeles Audubon enables us to conduct important work in species conservation, habitat restoration, and also in community outreach and youth education.

Los Angeles Audubon Education programs now serve over 3500 students from under-served communities each year. A growing number of young people are coming to Los Angeles Audubon seeking knowledge in environmental conservation that will prepare them for careers in science and sustainability. The best part is, these students take this knowledge back to their communities and bring together friends and neighbors for community projects that conserve natural resources and preserve precious habitat.

With your support, Los Angeles Audubon can empower the next generation of environmental leaders who aim to preserve the last remaining open spaces in LA!
