This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for April 22.

A BROAD-WINGED HAWK was observed flying over Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena on April 17.

Four VERMILION FLYCATCHERS continued at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora through April 20.

The TROPICAL KINGBIRD at El Dorado Park in Long Beach continued between the north and south lakes in Area 3 through April 16.

A PYGMY NUTHATCH was at the top of the hill at Sand Dune Park in Manhattan Beach on April 20.

The GRAY CATBIRD at Monte Verde Park (no public access) in Lakewood was seen through April 19. It is usually on the east side of the park by the wooden bridge. This spot is visible only from the San Gabriel River walk/bike path that borders the east side of the park.

A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was a DeForest Park in Long Beach on April 17. It was in sycamores between the Community Center and basketball court.
