Ballona Wetlands Bird Walk

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Join us for a walk through L.A.’s only remaining saltwater marsh and the adjacent rocky jetty.  Meet at the Del Rey Lagoon parking lot.  Take the Marina Fwy (90) to Culver Blvd and turn left for a mile.  Turn right on Pacific Ave.  The lot is on the right.  Lot or street parking is usually not a problem.  Three hour walk.  ‘scopes helpful.

Bird Walks are geared for the beginner/intermediate birders looking for an introduction to local birds and/or interested in reducing their carbon footprint by birding relatively close to home.  LAAS birdwalks and field trips delve into identification, natural histories and interactions observed in the field. All are welcome on either event, but no pets or small children please. Appropriate for young bird watchers age 6 years and older.  Carpooling is encouraged.
