Los Angeles Audubon Society supported UCLA freshman students in planting native buckwheat, goldenbush and sage on a portion of the campus of Leo Politi Elementary yesterday (Sept. 24, 2013) during UCLA Volunteer Day. I had the opportunity to share with UCLA Chancellor Dr. Gene Block the innovative education work of Los Angeles Audubon Society. At the end of the video you'll see Dr. Block planting a purple sage, with the help of Cody from LAAS.
