The mission of Los Angeles Audubon is to promote the enjoyment and protection of birds and other wildlife through recreation, education, conservation and restoration.

Please join with others who share your interests in nature, birds and wildlife! We are pleased to present the following recreational (and educational) opportunities in and around the Los Angeles area. Contact Olga Clarke for International Birding Tours (818) 249-9511.

  • BIRD WALKS: Join experienced leaders who will help you explore the varied habitat in and around the greater Los Angeles Area.  Enjoy woodland nature areas, parklands and lakes, natural coastal scrub habitat and saltwater marshes. Binoculars are provided on many of the walks.

  • FIELD TRIPS: Field Trip destinations are a bit further afield than our local bird walks.  Some of our annual destinations are to: The Kern River Valley, Big Morongo Wildlife Preserve,  Galileo Hills and Butterbredt Springs, Jawbone Canyon for Lizards, Southern Sierra (High-deserts to the High Sierra), Big Bear Lake Vicinity, Sweltering Salton Sea, Huntington Central Park and Bolsa Chica Wetlands, Quaking Aspen Camping Trip for Owls (southwest Sierras), Anza Borrego; Birds, Butterflies and Beyond, Owens Valley Grouse Trip, Carrizo Plain, and Quaking Aspen Camping Trip for Owls. More locally we visite: Hansen Dam for Riparian Birds, Santa Anita Canyon, Evening Montane Birds with Owls in the San Gabriels, Bonelli Regional Park, Private Duck Club in Ventura, Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Area, Parrot Patrol of Temple City, East Mojave Desert, the East Antelope Valley.
